Richard “Rick” Nelson Cosmus, of West Haven, Connecticut, passed away, Monday, September 5, 2016 at the age of 62.
Richard was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He was a loving father who was never idle, spending his free time fixing up old boats, antique cars and houses. He loved art and sailing his refurbished boats around long Island Sound with his daughter, dog, and friends.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, John A. Cosmus and Frances (White) Cosmus, his sister, Ann Cahill and his brother, John Cosmus III.
Richard is survived by his daughter and son- in-law, Jessica and Jonathan Right, his brother, Thomas Cosmus and his wife, Kathleen, his brother-in-law, Charlie Cahill, and by his sister-in-law Dena Cosmus.
Private Services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Long Island Audubon Long Island Sound Conservation Project. http://www.audubon.org/conservation/project/long-island-sound
