Wow where to start....JJ goes way back with me, my family & our company United Express. I 1st met JJ about 30 years ago when he was introduced to me by my dad. He had already been an independent driver for our company for many years & I can only remember how solid a guy JJ was, both physically & as a gentleman. JJ continued working with us right thru this past year. Even through his battle, his work ethics surpassed most that were 1/2 his age. He always was a pleasure to deal with & always set a great example what a driver & man should be. He was always the go-to guy & was true to his word. If he said it would be done, he made sure he followed through. JJ always asked about my family with sincere concern of their well being. I extend their condolences along with mine. JJ will be truly missed but not forgotten...

Jimmy
James Albert Hawley, “Jimmy” was a special person. One that personified the spirit of personality and friendship. Jimmy could open a conversation on the street with a complete stranger. Devoted to helping others, he would always go the extra mile to help someone. He was enamored with technology, marveling how we could “Skype” each other. Jim attended the school of hard knocks, learning how to survive in this world. Always one with an aptitude for cars and later for trucks, he joined the brotherhood known as “Truckers”. He would call me and I would always ask where he was. I’m in Chicago or New Jersey or a hundred other places. He loved trucking and made it his life. I spoke of his spirit. Jimmy had spirit. He loved family and I believe that he wanted that spirit and love of family to run through the blood of everyone here, both family and friend. I believe he is in a better place now and is resting peacefully. May God rest his soul.

Our hearts are sad to know that Jimmie has passed on. Our prayers go out to all who loved him and who will miss him as we will. But he's in a better place now and soon, very soon we will all have a chance to meet our loved ones in that special place. God bless the Hawley family and may he grant you peace in this time of bereavement.
