William B. Reed 87 of West Haven passed away suddenly on November 1, 2017 at the West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Hull Reed. William was born in New Haven on September 25, 1930 to the late Raye and Freda (Laub) Reed.

Bill was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the UA Local 777 Plumbers and Pipefitters for the past 50 years.

Bill loved playing Horseshoes and Bocce at the beach and was an avid fisherman, he was referred to, as the "Mayor of Beach" at Savin Rock by his loving friends. Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle. He will be missed dearly by Family and Friends.

He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Reed of West Haven, his brothers Donald Reed of Maryland and Walter Reed of New Haven. 3 Grandchildren Corey Sylvester, Amy (Joel) Rosado, Carrie Eburg and 3 Great Grandchildren Alexie, Aliyah, and Haylee.

He was predeceased by his two sons Scott and Steven Reed, grandson Benjamin Reed and two step sons Alexander (Butch) and Michael Eburg as well as his 5 brothers Edward Laub, Raye, Arthur (Butch), Otto and Gene Reed and his sister Beverly Johnson.

Family and friends are invited to visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven, CT Tuesday, November 7 from 4 pm – 7 pm.  Military honors to follow at 7 pm.
