Karen L Eaton

Karen L. Eaton, 54, of West Haven passed away at her home with her family on February 6, 2018. She was born on October 27, 1963 to the late Helen Kotchey.

She attended Stone Academy in New Haven, studying to become a Dental Assistant. While she was there, she made Dean’s List. For more than 20 years, she worked as a dietary aide at the Clifton House in New Haven. Karen was an outgoing and independent woman. She loved to take walks, go to the beach, and plan outings with friends and family. But most of all, she loved her children with all her soul and put everything she had into raising and caring for them. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Karen is survived by her twin daughters, Nicole and Stephanie Kotchey of West Haven, and her son, Joseph Eaton of West Haven. She also leaves behind her brother, Jimmy (Diane) Kotchey of Texas, and her sister, Linda Myers of Pennsylvania, as well as her cousin, Kim Lauria of West Haven. She was predeceased by her aunt, Eileen Sutphin.

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven, on Monday, February 12, from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
