William B. Frank III, age 62, of Groton, CT, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on March 1, 2021 with family by his side. He was born in New Haven, CT on July 26, 1958, to the late William and Wendy (Blantin) Frank. William was a proud Air Force veteran, a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Elks and a member of the Military Veterans Motorcycle Club Wolfpack Chapter. William had a heart of gold that overflowed with love and pride for his family and friends. He was accepting, loving, kind and always the life of the party.
William is survived by his two adoring children, Michelle (Charlie) Rankin of Sandy Hook, and William (Melissa) Frank of Santa Cruz, CA, and two grandchildren (Gavin and Dylan). He leaves behind two sisters, Lynn (Carl) Shortell of Southington and Lisa (Jim) Hickey of Meriden, along with his nieces and nephew (Kathryn, Kellie, Sarah, Karina, Anthony, Angelina and Carmella), as well as his cousin, Karrie Mucherino.
Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St, West Haven on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Per Ct Department of Public Health guidelines, six foot social distancing and face coverings will be required. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at The Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Public is asked to meet at the cemetery.
