Wayne Davis

Wayne Russell Davis passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Adrienne (Smith) Davis, daughters, Stacey (Vern) McFarland, Emily (Joseph) Famigletti and son Scott (Laurie) Davis and his loving sisters Marcia (Lou) Capalbo and Janice (Phil) DiMartino; grandchildren Matheiu Cote, Erin Cote, Casey Disotell, Nico Famiglietti, Gabriela Famiglietti, Kirsten (Will) O’Hara, Joe Famiglietti, Bill (Felicia) Larson,and  Beau Larson; 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was born in New Haven, CT to Russell H. and Dorothy M. (Jones) Davis on September 28, 1942.  He spent most of his childhood in West Haven, CT, and was a member of the West Haven Chapter of DeMolay serving as Master Councilor in 1960. He was a 1960 graduate of West Haven High School.  After graduating he served in the Air Force, then was employed by Southern New England Telephone Company for almost 30 years, where he rose to the position of Director of Cost Analysis. He raised his family in Madison, CT, where he and his family lived close to 40 years.

In his retirement he enjoyed sharing time with his family and friends, taking wonderful excursions on his boat, doting on his West Highland White Terriers, and always advising anyone who would listen on the latest technology.
