Vicki M. Lightfoot

Vicki Muriel Lightfoot entered into eternal rest peacefully on July 25, 2021.  Vicki was born on July 23, 1960 in Hempstead Long Island, New York to parents Daphne O. Hunter and Herman Lightfoot. She was 61 years old at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Daphne O. Hunter, Her father, Herman Lightfoot, her stepfather, William Hunter, and her sister, Tara Darnae Lightfoot.  She was a loving and devoted Godmother to Tiara Lewis. She was a faithful, adoring cousin to Zoe Manning.

Vicki graduated from Old Saybrook High School in 1980 and was a longtime resident of Old Saybrook, CT.  In her earlier years she participated in numerous track competitions and she was the Poster Child for the United Cerebral Palsy Association.  The simple pleasures in life brough her joy.  Vicki loved music and took Opera and Guitar lessons.  Of her many gifts, she had a beautiful voice often singing one of her favorite songs by Debby Boone; “You Light Up My Life”.  In truth, Vicki was the bright light in our lives.  Vicki loved her family, the New York Yankees, pocketbooks, make-up and pretty jewelry.  She was proud of being the oldest cousin.  Vicki remembered the birthdays of all family members and friends and called them every year to wish them well, always showing her affectionate and caring heart.

Vicki is survived by her siblings; Angelo Hunter, Marcus Hunter, Chiffon Hunter; Donald Hunter; Drew Hunter; David Hunter, Anthony Hunter and step-brother Terrence Lightfoot.  She also leaves to cherish her precious memories; God-daughter, Tiara Lewis, many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Our love for Vicki will be forever and her heart was full of love for all.  The day has come where we cannot be together, but you are in our hearts and you will stay there forever. 

The family wholeheartedly thanks everyone for their outpouring of Support and Love.  A special Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
