Vale Bailey Hardy

Vale Verda (Bailey) Hardy, wife of the late Edward C. Hardy died May 4, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, CT.  She was a long-time resident of West Haven, CT before moving to Elim Park Baptist Home, Cheshire, CT.  She was born in Springfield, MA on February 22, 1925, daughter of the late Roy S. Bailey and Lillian McQuade.  She was the mother of David (Rindy) Hardy of Clinton and Paul (Lois) Hardy of Lady Lakes, FL; grandmother of David (Tracy) Hardy of Madison and James (Gretha) Hardy of Woodbridge, VA' great-grandmother of Owen, Elise and Thea Hardy; sister of the late Norma Werthamer.  She was a former employee of the Knights of Columbus in New Haven.  Mrs. Hardy was a longstanding member of the First Baptist Church of West Haven, singing in the choir for many years.

A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of West Haven on Saturday, May 20th at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Elim Park Baptist Home, 140 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire, CT 06410, Attn:  Benevolent Memorial Department.
