Thomas A. Ciamei

Thomas A Ciamei Sr. age 84 passed away on September 9, 2020. He was born in Yonkers NY to the late Esther and Peter Ciamei and husband to the late Marcia McEwen Ciamei. Tom has three beloved children Debbie, Thomas Jr., and Jennifer.

Tom attended Saunders Trade and Technical High school and went on to acquire a degree from the RCA School of Engineering. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War and later employed at MIT Development from which he retired at the age of 65. In his retirement, he belonged to the Knights of Columbus in West Haven.

Tom's favorite past time was drinking coffee and watching his beloved NY Yankees and NY Giants, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. He would reminisce about growing up in New York—playing stickball in his neighborhood, going to Arthur Avenue, the Apollo Theatre, and attempting to earn a buck or two shoe shining in mid-town. Tom will be remembered for his love of family and his kind and calm demeanor. He enjoyed his retirement at West Walk where he had many friends who checked in on him in his later years.

He is survived by sister Anna Luzzi and brother Peter Ciamei. Children Deborah Mastroianni (Joseph), Thomas Ciamei (Michele), and Jennifer Ciamei. Grand Children, Jordan, Joshua, Jeremy, Angelina, Jocelyn, Allison, Sophia, Luke, and Owen. Great-grandchildren Tiago, Amelia, Miles, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Marcia, sisters Gloria and Josephine, and brother Robert.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 20th between 12 - 2 pm at Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street West Haven CT. 06516.
