Saengthong Chareunsouk was born on June 16, 1946. She passed away on June 20th at 8:27 p.m.at Yale New Haven Hospital.
While she was alive she was cared for by her daughter, Julie. Saengthong was a mother, grandmother, aunt, and best friend to many. She was known by the adoring nickname amongst her family and beloved friends, Thu-Joy. She showed her affection and love through her actions from taking care of her grandkids to cooking her kids favorite dishes on special days, like birthdays. Her children and grandchildren will remember her fondly as a stay at home mother/grandma, who enjoyed time spent with them. Saengthong's favorite hobby & passion was cooking authentic Laotian food. In her free time she also loved to go for walks and helping out at her local Buddhist temple. She enjoyed telling stories and making jokes everywhere she went. Her family was spread out all around the United States, mainly, Utah, California, Arkansas, New York and Connecticut.
Her untimely death came all too soon. During a time of uncertainty, we are sure of one thing, we know that you are now at peace and your pains are gone and healed. We will miss you very much and shall meet again one day.
She leaves behind her husband, David Chareunsouk, 7 sons and daughters: Khamsay Ngerngnam, Somchay Chamreunsouk, Phaylot Chareunsouk, Julie Sihaphong, Khetmany Chareunsouk, Boualy Chamreunsouk, and Jonathan Jason Chamreunsouk. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 3 siblings.
