Ronald H. Balsamo

Ronald Balsamo, age 70, passed suddenly on Monday, November 26, 2018 at St. Raphael’s Hospital.  Ronald was the beloved husband of Kathryn Firth Balsamo.  He was born May 24, 1948 in Milford, Connecticut to Henry and Ruth Varneau Balsamo.

Ron was an avid sports fan, and would frequently attend any high school and colleges games in the area for the love of the game. He loved animals, especially cats. He also loved walking on the beach and spent many days walking West Haven beach. Ron had a great sense of humor and children loved him for that. In addition to his wife Kathy, Ron is survived by his stepchildren Pam (Jamie) Cavallo and Tom (Karri) Minard, several grandchildren, his sister Gloria Balsamo, several nieces and nephews and his 3 cats Cooper, Buddy and Heidi. Ron was predeceased by his sisters Joan (Stanislawski) and Ruth (Orzechowski).

Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 5 pm – 7 pm.
