Robert H. Matthews

Robert “Bob” Howard Matthews, age 67 of Branford passed away on April 9, 2022 in St. Raphael’s Hospital Hospice after a brief illness. Robert was born on November 28, 1954 in Milford, CT to the late Roger Matthews and Elaine (O’Brien) Matthews. He is predeceased by his only daughter Kelly Matthews. He leaves behind his sister Callene (Matthews) Neyssen (George) and three grandchildren Giovanni, Gina and Dakota. Bob was a talented machinist who retired from the Bic Corporation in Milford after 40 years of dedicated service. Bob was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed racing and cruising all over the New England region. He also loved taking his daughter and grandchildren on many camping and fishing trips. Bob was known by his family and friends as a sweet and gentle soul with a heart of gold, who loved cats and always kept one or more as companions. He was a dear friend and sadly, will be missed by all of us. A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 14th at 2:00 at the Keenan Funeral Home 330 Notch Hill Rd. in North Branford.
