Richard K. Larkins, 80, entered into Eternal Rest on September 12, 2018 at CT Hospice of Branford after a brief illness. Richard was born May 23, 1938 in New Haven CT. to the late Kermit and Louise (Moriconi) Larkins.
He attended West Haven High School then went on to work at the Wilson H. Lee Company as a Book Printer and Binder by trade. He had a loving, kind and gentle nature who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed working on his vehicles, was an avid basketball fan and liked to talk politics.
Richard is survived and will be dearly missed by his sister; Coral Baker, and her companion Toney Brown of West Haven, and Janice Brown of East Haven. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by sisters; Anita James and Ginger Magnuson.
Richard’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Regal Care at New Haven, and to the staff of CT Hospice for their wonderful care, many acts of kindness and support during his illness.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St. West Haven, CT 06516. Funeral Services will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 17th, 2018 at Keenan Funeral Home with a service of Blessing for Richard’s life at 10:30 a.m.,with Reverend Arthur Yost presiding. Interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery will follow.
