Peter Ochoa Alonso passed away on December 29, 2020 at St. Raphael's Hospital.
Peter was a life long resident of West Haven, Connecticut. He was known best for copies of Van Gogh paintings that have been exhibited in the West Haven Public Library during 2003. For many years he painted copies of the artist famous masterpieces that were framed into authentic museum frames for all to enjoy viewing. Art and painting was his passion. He graduated with a degree in Art/History from the University of California.
Peter was known as one of the “coffee and cake” volunteers for nine years at Our Lady of Victory Church.
After many years of ill health Peter passed away peacefully in his sleep. He leaves behind his loving wife Maureen Alonso, their sons Peter Alonso (Jodi) and Michael Alonso, grandchildren, Ava, Anthony, Brooke and nieces and nephews, Carlos Alonso, Veronica Alonso, Jose (Juanita) Alonso, and Megan Hollingsworth (Blane), Alexander and Allison Behringer, Margo Booth (Randy), Cooper Behringer, Lisa Hillis (Thomas), Robert Guiffredo, Michael Guiffredo, Tara Guiffredo, Rhrett Guiffredo, Cassandra Kofer, Heather Kofer, Matthew Matney, Jr., (Jody), Carolyn Matney, Joshua Matney, Nicole Prosch and Brian Prosch, Melanie Prosch and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Mattiana Alonso, Kathleen Behringer (David), Michael Guiffredo (Guiselle), Jaclyn Kofer, Geraldine Matney (Matthew).
