Pauline Hawley

Pauline Wozniak Hawley passed away on Friday, May 19th.  She was the youngest of Joseph and Mary Wozniak’s eight children.  She was born on June 21, 1926 and raised in New Haven.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Frank E. Hawley.  They spent their entire married life in West Haven where they raised their four children.  Richard (Cheryl) Hawley, Patricia (Joseph) Vidal, Elizabeth Hawley, and Kathleen (Kevin) DeLillo will always be thankful for being blessed with such wonderful parents.  Pauline was the grandmother of five perfect grandchildren: Michelle (Brandon) Lane, Jeffrey Vidal, Christopher DeLillo, Christian Vidal, and Katie Vidal.  She leaves one great-grandson, Grayson Lane, who she cherished.

Pauline spent the last year at the Mary Wade Home in New Haven.  The family will be forever grateful for the loving and compassionate care she received from the staff who made sure she always had an extra dessert of ice cream with dinner.

She always ended every conversation saying, “Be Good to Each Other”.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 25th.  Visitation will be 9:00-10:30 at Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street in West Haven.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Stan’s Church in New Haven at 11:00, followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in West Haven.
