Nicole D. Carlson

Nicole Denise Carlson, age 29 of West Haven, CT was called home to the heavens on September 23, 2022. She was born in Derby, CT on April 6, 1993.

Nicole leaves behind her father, Brendan R Carlson, cherished aunt, Denise A. Vece, and siblings Erick (Monica) Vece whom Nicole adored, Brendan J. Carlson, Angelique Carlson, and Corilyn Campbell. Daughter Isabella Nicole Lopez born March 13th, 2012 whom Nicole cherished above all. Nieces and nephews, Makenzee, Connor, Gianna, and many other family members; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nicole was predeceased by her mother, Diane Lynn Vece, and grandparents Daniel G. Vece, Jr., and Theresa DelGreco Vece.

Nicole grew up in West Haven. When she was little, she loved to help people and animals.  As a young girl she would bring cats and dogs home to ask her father if she could keep them, which a few became part of the family throughout the years. Growing up by the ocean, she loved going to the beach with her friends, which she wasn’t short of. She would make friends with everybody with her bright blue eyes, laugh, and smile that would light up the room. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. Nicole also loved spending time with her favorite Aunt Denise, for her 16th birthday her aunt gave her a trip to Disney, which she thoroughly enjoyed!

Nicole is loved by so many and will dearly be missed.  Nicole would have said always reach out to your loved ones, because tomorrow is never promised.  We all get busy with life, work, kids, maybe just take a minute to reach out to that loved one and give your kids that extra hug and I love you before you walk out the door, and enjoy life. She wouldn’t want people to be sad about her passing, but to celebrate the memories you had with her, and the life she lived on this Earth. So after you shed your tears remember the good times and memories you’ve made with her.

Visitation will be held at Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Rd., North Branford, CT on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
