Maritza de Loudes García Boak, Age 67, of Enfield passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital. Maritza was born in Mexico City, Mexico on April 4, 1952 to Luis Alonso García and María Del Carmen Gutiérrez.
Maritza was a Scientist for 20 years, owned her own business and worked as a K-12 teacher. She has multiple patents all over the world and spoke Spanish and Russian. She enjoyed painting, singing and playing piano and had the opportunity to sing backup for Elizabeth Von Trapp at Woosley Hall and sing with the Gold Tones Choral Group. She was active at her church and held many board and committee positions, serving as Deacon, Sunday school teacher, USS Representative and led the bible study.
Maritza leaves behind her two sons, John Boak of Wallingford and David Boak of Oregon her brother, Luis Humberto Garcia of Houston, numerous cousins, as well as her boyfriend of five years Nelson Pinette.
Family and friends may visit the Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels & Crematory, 61 South Road, Enfield on Thursday September 19th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. under the direction of Keenan Funeral Home in West Haven. A service will immediately follow the visitation at 12 p.m.
