Marilyn A. Malone, age 81, of West Haven passed away peacefully at St. Raphael’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in New Haven on July 24, 1940 to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Dillman) Malone.
She retired from Sears as a Customer Service Representative after 30 years. Marilyn was a very upbeat person, who was always smiling and ready with a joke. Her motto was “Why wait for a reason to laugh?” Her family nickname was Leprechaun due to her Irish heritage and her love of St. Patrick’s Day. She cherished her family and friends who meant the world to her.
Marilyn is survived by her three daughters, Susan (Susan Abraham) Cavalier of West Haven, Stacy (Hector) Morales of Waterbury and Shannon (Robert) Klimczak of West Haven. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kayleigh, Christopher, Shelby, Joseph, Kelsey, Mason, Leila and Valerie and great-grandchildren, Tobin, Maeve and Ethan. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Malone.
Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral, 238 Elm Street, West Haven on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. Burial at St. Lawrence Cemetery will be at later date.
