Marian L. (Klein) Young

Marian L. Young, 81, of Northford, beloved wife of the late Edward Young Sr., passed away on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.  Marian was born in New Haven on February 8, 1936 to the late Henry and Minnie (Badstuebner) Klein.  

Marian was a homemaker most of her life but was employed by the Picker Company for a period of time making diagnostic equipment for the healthcare industry.  Marian’s heart was always with her family of whom she was very proud, especially of her grandchildren who she would always boast about.  Marian was a natural born caregiver rendering care for her family in any time of need.  She had a very generous heart and was known to give in every capacity that she could.  Every year Marian would make it a point to buy additional Thanksgiving turkeys to ensure those less fortunate could also enjoy a hearty holiday meal.  She was a diehard Mets fan, enjoyed gardening and crocheting and thoroughly enjoyed a rousing game of BINGO with her family.

Marian is survived by her three children; Wayne Young and his wife Stella, Wendy Lupoli and her husband John, and Raymond Young and his wife Patty.  Marian also leaves behind her seven grandchildren and her brother Henry.  She was predeceased by her son Edward Jr., her brothers Roy and Allen and her sister Doris.  The family wishes to thank Lisa Woods APRN and all the staff of CT Hospice for the compassion and wonderful care given to Marian.

Family and friends are welcomed to gather at the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Rd. North Branford, on Saturday December 9, 2017 from 9-10am.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10am. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
