Madeline G. Walsh, age 86, of West Haven, beloved wife of the late Thomas Walsh, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 11, 2021. Madeline was born in Bridgeport to the late Francis and Elizabeth Brousseau. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grammy.
Madeline was a member of St. Louis Church of St. John XXIII Parish and had a deep faith and love for the Lord and the Blessed Mother Mary. She was also active in her parish Ladies Guild. Her favorite moments were working outdoors in her garden, growing beautiful plants and flowers, and spending time with her family. She also had a true love for cooking and baking for family and friends, most especially over the holidays. Her famous cheesecake was requested at all family functions.
In addition to being a homemaker, Madeline later went on to work for Vine Products Manufacturing in West Haven, where she worked for 30 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Tom and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Kelly (Brad) Lewellyn, Kristen (Michael) Leonard, and her precious granddaughters Fiona and Audrey Leonard. She also leaves her beloved sister and best friend Joan (William) McKay, her brother James and his fiance Tina, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet her family on Friday, July 16 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Church, West Haven. Interment will be private.
