Louis G. Biehl, age 93, of North Branford passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Aaron Manor in Chester, Connecticut. He was born in West Haven on April 30, 1928 to the late Paul and Anna (Shubert) Biehl.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Air Mechanic before he was honorably discharged in 1947. He would later work as the superintendent at Armstrong Rubber Company in manufacturing, retiring in 1990.
Louis is predeceased by his wife of 70 years Elizabeth (Lamb) Biehl, his brothers Arthur and Robert Biehl, and his son-in-law Donald Henne. He is survived by his five children, Linda (Joseph) Barlow, Diane (Stephen) Whalen, Edward (Phyllis) Biehl, Susan Henne and John (Marilynn) Biehl. He also leaves behind his ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Louis was an outdoorsman. He loved camping with his family, flying his Cessna plane, boating, fishing and hunting. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking and building things. He was a life-long traveler and took his family on many long-distance trips to include a month-long trek across the U.S., as well as a road trip to Alaska and hunting in Canada. He was a fun-loving, adventurous person, very dedicated to his family and was always available to help.
Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. with a service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
