Laurie A. Hannan, 59, formerly of West Haven, Connecticut passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Laurie was born in New Haven, Connecticut on December 25, 1961.
She leaves behind her daughter, Elizabeth Arnone and Joseph Arnone, Elizabeth’s father. In addition, mother, Shirley Hannan, sister, Mary Sprafke, brothers, Joseph Hannan Jr. and John Hannan, predeceased by father, Joseph Hannan Sr. She also is survived by uncles, James Hannan and Larry Whitmore, and aunt, Nancy Cramer, and several cousins. Predeceased by Frank Ardizone, Laurie’s ex-husband, of Bethany, Connecticut and grandmother, Charlotte Whitmore.
Laurie graduated from Guilford High School, class of 1979 and attended Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Most of Laurie’s years were spent being a nanny for multiple families. She valued the relationships and love that came from those life-long connections. Likewise, she enjoyed being a wine ambassador. She loved flowers and creating beautiful gardens. She always was the host of the event and prepared gourmet meals for her friends and family. Laurie’s other hobbies included attending live concerts, soaking up the sun at the beach, and shopping trips.
Laurie will be missed for her vivacious spirit and loving heart.
