Kenneth Evarts, 61, of Orange, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2nd after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Kenneth was born on January 12, 1961 in New Haven, CT. He is predeceased by his parents, E. Frank Evarts and Frances Egan Evarts, as well as his brother-in-law Anthony Ruggiero.
Kenneth leaves behind the love of his life of over 40 years, Joan Evarts and two children, Jessica (Brendan) Sullivan and Matthew Evarts. He also leaves behind his 3 sisters, Donna Jetmar, Eileen (Nicholas) Vitale, and Pamela Ruggiero as well as several nephews and many lifelong friends.
Kenneth was a graduate of West Haven High School Class of 1979, and was an Assistant Grocery Manager for Stop & Shop for 42 years. Kenneth loved to spend time outside working in his beautiful yard, playing basketball, reading at the beach, and vacationing with his family in Ocean City, Maryland and Aruba.

Family and Friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home in West Haven on Wednesday, April 6th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Infant Church in Orange on Thursday, April 7th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow to Kenneth’s final resting place at the Orange Center Cemetery in Orange.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Smilow Cancer Hospital or Connecticut Hospice in memory of Kenneth.
