Kathryn Mary Smith

Kathryn M. Misiasz Smith, age 67 of Hudson, Florida, formally of West Haven, passed away surrounded by her family on September 13, 2021.  Beloved wife of Edmond L. Smith, she was born in New Haven on November 12, 1953 to the late John P. and Marie (Iannuzzi) Misiasz, Sr. 

Kathryn is survived by one brother John P. Misiasz, Jr. of West Haven, five sisters Laura A. (Charles) Rivellini of Woodbridge, Lisa B. Misiasz of West Haven, Dina M. (Ronald) Ardito of New Haven, Jacqueline J. (Daniel) Landino of West Haven, and Patricia A. Misiasz of New Haven.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Lara, Bryn and Daniel Landino, John and Christopher Misiasz and Paige Gambardella. Kathryn was stepmother to Shawn J. Smith and Andrea A. (Jared) Yochim, with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We are heartbroken at the loss of our dearest Kathy, truly one-of-a kind and unforgettable in so many ways.  She was the embodiment of beauty and elegance.  Kathy moved through life with a graceful stride, determined and purposeful.  She was absolutely stunning.  Kathy saw beauty in everything.  To Kathy, family was her greatest joy.  She touched all of our lives in immeasurable ways with her infinite love.  Her generosity knew no limits, her consideration for others, no boundaries.  While the emptiness we feel will never heal, we are blessed to have a lifetime of wonderful memories of a beautiful soul.  We love you. 

Family and friends are invited to visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St. West Haven Thursday September 23, from 8:30am to 9:30am.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00am at St Louis Church in West Haven, with burial to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
