Katherine A. Weil

Katherine A. Weil, Age 87, passed away on July 5, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus.  Katherine was born on July 16, 1930 to the late James Burnes and Katherine Sheahan.  She was the beloved wife of the late George Weil.

Katherine graduated from Albertus Magnus College with a teaching degree and went on to teach High School in New Haven.  She married the late Frederick Bodwicz and is survived by their son and daughter, Marty and Jane and predeceased by their son Ricky.  She later worked in various department stores where she found her love for fashion.  Katherine remarried the late George Weil.  She taught English as a Second Language for Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Orange, CT.  Katherine was an avid reader and faithfully prayed the Rosary and Novena daily.  Katherine is also survived by her two granddaughters Mikayla and Meghan Zagata.  She will be sadly missed.  

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 11am – 1pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 1pm.
