Joshua Bryant

Joshua Rahkeem Bryant, aged 32 of West Haven, CT, formerly of Guilford, CT, passed away on September 4th, 2022. He was born on October 19, 1989 in New Haven, CT.

Josh leaves behind his mother, Christina Bryant (Klopfer) and his siblings Salestria (David) Buckley, Nathaniel Bryant, Jamaal Bryant, Alima Bryant, Elijah (Anna) Bryant, Tacia Bryant, Christina (Yusuf) Mansaray, Kyera Bryant, and Jehiel Bryant. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family. Josh was predeceased by his father, Salestriest Ray Bryant. 

Josh grew up in Guilford, CT. He was an absolute joy since childhood - loved and lovable - like a big teddy bear, or a gentle giant. His bright smile, child-like humor, and infectious laugh lit up the room. He was extremely “punny” and always snuck a joke in when the opportunity was provided. He was personable and a good listener from an early age where he would speak to anyone and everyone, including adults and strangers. This translated well into his serving career. Listening to others intently, he also incorporated his sense of humor to make light of almost any situation and get crowds laughing. 

Josh also enjoyed deep conversations - sharing knowledge, learning from others, and challenging ideas. He inherited an appreciation for music from his father and shared the beauty of music with others through his own talents and poetic expression. Josh has had a strong, positive impact on the people around him and will be greatly missed. His playfulness, warm hugs, and kind heart will forever be remembered.
