John Magliochetti

John Magliochetti, 57, of East Haven passed away on May 14, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family. John was born in New Haven on July 7, 1959 to the late Ralph and Marie (Stellato) Magliochetti.

John graduated from East Haven High School in 1978. After school, he worked for more than fourteen years at Rockbestos in New Haven, now in East Granby. For the last nineteen years, he worked for the Parks Department in New Haven, hoping to retire one year from now. John loved to bowl at the Saturday Nite Mix, and always cheered on his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins. He also liked to try his luck at Mohegan Sun.

John is survived by his three brothers: Paul (Kelly) Magliochetti, Ralph Magliochetti, and Joseph (Carole) Magliochetti, all of East Haven. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Rosemarie, Paul Jr., Michael, and Joseph. John is predeceased by his brother Dominic Magliochetti.

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Thursday, May 18 from 4-8pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday May 19, at 11am at Our Lady of Pompeii on Route 80 in East Haven. Burial will follow at St Bernard’s Cemetery in New Haven.
