Jean M. Wischert

Jean M. Wischert, age 83, passed away peacefully at her son’s home on June 5, 2018 surrounded by her family.  She is the beloved wife of George Wischert.  Jean was born on July 22, 1934 to the late William and Margaret Palmer Girasuolo. 

Jean was all about family and prided herself in being a homemaker and taking care of her children.  She loved to travel.  She was actively involved in helping the homeless. 

She is survived by her two children, Jean (Mark) Cafiero of  FL and Gary Wischert of West Haven. She is also survived by her brother Billy Girasuolo of Orange, two sisters Blanche Dineen of Branford and Margaret Hurley of Orange and Daughter-in-Law Pauline  as well as 5 grandchildren, George, Nicole, Jeana, Stephanie and Mark  and five great-grandchildren, Zoey, Haley, Gabriella, Michael Jr. and Lola.  Jean was predeceased by her son George Wischert.  She will be sadly missed. 

There will be no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Road, Orange Thursday, June 7 at 11:00am. Family request everyone go directly to the church.  Interment will be private at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby.
