Jean M Radecki

April 9, 1950 ~ February 7, 2021 (age 70) 70 Years Old

Tribute

Jean M. Radecki, 70, of North Branford, passed away peacefully at CT Hospice in Branford, on February 7, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer.

Born April 9, 1950 to the late Albert and Mabel Paolozzi whom she loved and missed dearly. Wife of 44 years to her husband, John Radecki; Mother to Troy (Tina) Radecki, and daughter, Virginia (Chris) Stroscio; and Nonnie to Cassie Jane, Zavier and Kenzie. She also leaves behind many special brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brother-in law. She will be missed by her kitty, Sunny K and her fluffy-pup, Bobo.

One of 7 children, Jean grew up in Stratford, CT. Her family was large and tight-knit, those relationships lasting throughout the years. She worked for BIC Corp. in Milford, CT for many years, retiring and starting a new career with Cigna Insurance. When she decided she had enough of the desk-work, she moved on to work as a baker with Panera Bread for 14 years, where she worked up until her illness.

If you knew Jean, you will remember her for spiritedly voicing her opinion and never wavering on her convictions. A feisty women, some of her best times were spent yelling at, and getting kicked out by the refs at her son’s hockey games, voicing her concern for what your problem may have been, and reminding you that you were wrong, she was right and if you didn’t like it you could….well if you know, you know. The happiest times of her life were spent just being with her family. She loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world.

The family would like to thank her doctors and nurses, especially her infusion-nurses at Smilow Devine St, Kathy and Robin, for all of the wonderful care and fun conversations while she was at treatment. Thank you to the staff at Yale NP12, and the Palliative Care team for being by her side while the family could not visit. Thank you to all of her nurses, aides and care-staff at CT Hospice, you are all angels on earth.
