Jacquelyn Ann Eastmond fondly known as Jackie passed away suddenly on September 26th 2020 due to a pulmonary embolism.
She was born on May 18th 1949 in Barbados, the daughter of the late Elsie Arthur Phillips and the late Urban Phillips. Jackie was a member of First and Wesley Methodist Church In West Haven, where she was involved in youth programs.
Jackie attended Westbury Elementary, Washington High and later Skinner Secretarial School. During her school years she became a Girl Guide and excelled in swimming and culinary arts.
She was employed at Courtesy Garage and Cable and Wireless. At 19 years old she won the Miss Charm Beauty pageant and became a contestant in the Miss Barbados Queen Show.
She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1969 and pursued cosmetology before a career in travel and administration.
Jackie is survived by her husband George Eastmond and children Andre and wifeTiffany Downes, Keno Eastmond and fiancee Nye Cummings , siblings Loretta (Jilly) and husband Bertram Cuffley, Niall Ikin Phillips and wife Leila Dunkley, grandchildren AJ, Jasmine, Bijon and Donovan, along with many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Her hobbies included cooking, baking and dancing.
