Irene A. Bologna

Irene Ann Pallentino Bologna entered into eternal peace on July 15, 2017 after a long courageous battle with multiple illness with her loving family at her side. She was born on December 5, 1932, to Patrick and Elena (Sicondolf) Pallentino in Brooklyn, NY.

She is survived by her daughters Frances Dowd (Frank), Marie Elena Richardson (Charles), and Patricia Bologna, her grandchildren Glenn Connan (Jennifer), Amanda Lips, John Lips, Frank Dowd III, Anthony Richardson, Patrick Richardson, her sister, Ann Pallentino, a brother Patrick Pallentino, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert Cangliosi, and her grandson Christopher Bologna SR.

Irene loved to travel, bake and cook especially big Italian meals. She liked to host holidays. She treasured spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be remembered most for being a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Friends and relatives may call between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday July 23, at the Keenan Funeral home 238 Elm Street, West Haven, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 24, interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford, CT, immediately following.
