Ignazio Puleo, age 70 of West Haven, Connecticut passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Ina Graffeo Puleo. He was born in Sciacca, Sicily on March 7, 1948 to the late Calogero and Josephine Indelicato Puleo.
Ignazio owned and operated Grand Prix Auto in East Haven for over 30 years, and then worked as a mechanic for UPS in Hartford, retiring after 11 years. His hobbies included racecars and fishing.
He is survived by his two children, Josephine (Joseph) Signore of Killingworth and Edward (Eva Marie) Puleo of Branford. He also leaves behind his brother, Lillo Puleo and his sister Sina Caracappa, both of Sicily, and cherished grandchildren, Angelo Signore, Joseph Signore, Jonathon Puleo and Brenden Ferrigno, and his special niece, Jaime Busetta, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Vertical Church, 225 Meloy Road, West Haven on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Keenan Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
