Hugh F. McGuire

Hugh Francis McGuire, 90, of North Branford, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024.  He was born on September 8, 1933 in New Haven to Charles and Alice McGuire.  Hugh married the love of his life, Judith McCormack, on November 26, 1966.

Hugh worked as an electrician and was a proud member of IBEW Local 90.  He was a man of profound integrity and was selflessly committed to his family, his Catholic faith and the ones he loved.  He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Augustine Church.

Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Judith; his four children: Alice Pandolfi [Adam], Rosemary Buntin [Michael], Hugh McGuire, Jr. and Sarah McGuire; by his six beloved grandchildren: Julia, Adam, Vivian, Marcus, Daniel and Eleanor; and by his dear sister, Mary Eagan [John].  He was predeceased by his brother, Charles McGuire, Jr.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Rd., North Branford on Monday, January 22 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Parish, 30 Caputo Rd., North Branford.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven.   To leave an online tribute or condolence please visit Keenanfuneralhome.com.
