Francis R. Hogan, Age 82, of East Haven passed away peacefully on May 18, 2018 at The Village at Mariner’s Point after a long illness. He was born on May 13, 1936 to the late Francis A. and Jane Tague Hogan.
Francis was part of the Army Reserves as a young man. He worked as a Truck Driver for several trucking companies—including Yale Transport and Burgmeyer. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 12 years. He was a member of the New England Teamsters. Francis was also a long-time member of City Point Yacht Club in West Haven and enjoyed going to the beach, boating, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his four children, Patricia Hogan of CA, Deborah Eves of Wallingford, Maureen Hogan and Robert Hogan, both of CA. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Dionna Bailey, and a great-grandson Matthew Bailey, both of Colorado, sister-in-law, Jo Ann Tallerico Hogan of Madison and two nieces, Marianne (John) Rucci of Madison and Andrea Hogan (Joel Perez) of New Haven and their children. He was pre-deceased by his brother, William A. Hogan of Madison.
Services will be private. Keenan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
