Esther Rosario

María Esther Rosario Rodríguez, 89, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends. Esther was born on December 10, 1931, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Pr. Eulogio Rosario e Isabel Rodríguez.

She worked at the Latex Undergarment, Cerro Mar Hotel in Dorado P.R. among many other places. She came to the United States in 1962, lived in New Jersey where she worked at the Biscuit factory then New York City before moving to Connecticut in 1968 where she worked at the Sheraton Park Plaza, Pratt Whitney, US Repeating Arms among many other places.

Esther is pre-sided by two sons, Samuel and Gilberto Rivera and survived by two sons, Luis Enrique Rivera (wife Lucy) and Angel Rivera (wife Priscilla) and her only daughter, Doris Rivera all in CT. Esther was number eleven of 15 siblings. Presiding her were Inés, Eulogio jr. (Yojo), Benito, Anastacio (Tachin), Esteban, Tomasa, Julia, Francisco (Paco), Carmelo, Samuel, and Mercedes (Chere.)  She is survived by four sisters, Isabel of Sumter, SC; Elizabet of Vega Baja, PR; Luz Maria (husband Elija) of  West Haven CT and Nilva Sein of Sumter SC. Her four generations consisted of twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Esther was faithful to God and a lifetime member of the Puerta de Salvación Iglesia Pentecostal as her parents thought her.

Her passions were God first, family second and singing. She was always sing to the Lord with her sisters, in church, in the car, in the house and while working.
