Dorothy A. Zargo

Dorothy A. Zargo, age 80, of North Branford passed away at Connecticut Hospice in Branford on September 28, 2018.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Zargo.  She was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 11, 1938 to the late Andrew and Mildred Morgan Kopchak.

Dorothy was a Child Care Teacher for many years.  She was an active church parishioner of St. Augustine.  She enjoyed Bingo, trips to the casino, bowling and gardening. Her greatest love were her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her six children, Laura (Frank) Lowell of North Branford, Robert (Lisa) Zargo of West Haven, Linda (Randy) Young of Milford, Gary (Kerry) Zargo of Milford, Karen Gaudio of Branford and Glen (Senga) Zargo of North Branford.  She also leaves behind her eleven grandchildren, Kari (Tom) Schaefer, Thomas (Heather) Lowell, Holly (Bobby) Hume, Megan and Eric Zargo, Bernard  and Jessica Young, Anthony Gaudio, Erica (Chris) Gemmell, Kari and Christopher Zargo as well as her six great grandchildren, Kaylee, Jake, Brianna, Tyler, Cole and Connor, five sisters, Rita Gleason, Elaine Haslob, Marilyn Dennis, Catherine Bromley, Margaret Kopchak and four brothers, Robert, Alan, Andrew and Thomas Kopchak. She is predeceased by grandchildren Teri Young and Robert Zargo III, one brother Michael Kopchak and two sisters, Jean Goodwin and Anne Sauer.

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Tuesday, October 2 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Road, North Branford at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
