Dorothy P. Humphrey, 95, passed away peacefully Monday, January 29th, 2024. She was born November 4th, 1928, in Stratford to Walter Henry Prehn and Gertrude Rogers.

Dorothy was a remarkable soul known for her boundless love and compassion. Throughout her life, she actively contributed to her community, serving as the dedicated coordinator for class reunions. Dorothy's warm smile accompanied every gesture of assistance she extended to friends and neighbors, making her a pillar of support for those around her.

Her devotion to family was unparalleled, and she expressed her affection through a love that knew no bounds. Dorothy's caring nature extended to the animal kingdom, where her compassion for pets reflected her tender-hearted spirit. Her home was a haven of warmth and welcome for all fortunate enough to cross its threshold.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles E. Humphrey, and her daughter Linda (Leonard) Griffin of Milford, Connecticut. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, survived by her children Robert Humphrey of West Haven, Barbara Humphrey of Cape Cod, and Paul (Kimberly) Humphrey of Branford. Her grandchildren Diane (Sarah Kuchta) Humphrey, Alyson Humphrey, Adam Humphrey, Amy Griffin (Scott) Cianci of North Carolina, and Bryan Griffin of Florida. Along with her great-grandchildren Grayson Humphrey and Sierra Rose Cianci, who will forever cherish the love and wisdom she shared.

In the hearts of those who knew her, Dorothy's memory will live on as that of one of the most giving and forgiving individuals one could ever have the privilege to know. She will be deeply missed, her legacy forever echoing in the lives she touched with her generosity and love.
