Donald E Casey, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22nd, 2021. Born in East Haven, Connecticut to Amos and Mae Casey on December 2nd, 1931, he lived a full life, an Army veteran who was in the Korean War. Marrying Antoinette Travaglino on February 19th, 1955, they went on to have four children. He is survived by Donna Burrows, from Branford, Ralph Casey (Sherry) from Guilford, Jacqueline Casey (Drescott Thompson), from Branford, and Katherine Sanso, from Vermont. His granddaughter Jennie Mae Thorpe predeceased him. Donald was the proud grandfather to Lauren Ramos, Donald Casey, Nikki Totta (Steve), Brittany Mansfield, Joseph Gaudio, Christopher Sanso, Nattilie Sanso. He has five great grandchildren, Si’nivea, Teaghan, Blair, Mikey and Hazel. Donald worked as a service manager for Attwood Buick, but his love was wood working. Building furniture, and beautiful built in cabinets, window seats, and many other custom pieces. He could make a piece of wood a masterpiece.
Calling hours will be Saturday August 28th, 2021 at Keenan Funeral Home, North Branford, Connecticut at 9:30 am, followed by a short ceremony at 10:30. He will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven with full military honors.
