Dolores J. DiNuzzo

Dolores J. DiNuzzo (Auntie), age 71, of New Haven, Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her home with her family by her side.  She was the wife of the late Aniello DiNuzzo, and daughter to the late Kenneth and Ethel (Colberg) Fairbanks.

Dolores retired from Yale where she worked in accounting and Business Administration.  She was fun loving, always traveling or going on trips to the casino.  She adored her family and spending the Christmas holiday with them.  Dolores will be remembered as kind, generous, and as someone who would give you “the shirt off her back” if you needed it.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Dolores is survived by 4 children, Anthony DiNuzzo, Dominic DiNuzzo, Gina Hernandez, and Susan DiNuzzo.  She also leaves behind a brother, Dennis Fairbanks, and two sisters, Sandra Hamilton and Linda Cofrancesco, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.  Besides her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon Fairbanks and Kenneth R. Fairbanks, and one sister, Carol Corso.

In honor of Dolores’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 11:00 am at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven.  In light of the current pandemic, facial coverings and 6 foot social distancing will be required at the service.  Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St, West Haven is entrusted with her arrangements.  To leave an online condolence please visit www.Keenanfuneralhome.com.
