David Sherwood Thomas Jr.

David S. Thomas Jr., 78 of North Haven passed away on Sunday July 29, 2018 at Masonicare in Wallingford. Beloved Father and Grandfather. David was born in New Haven, the oldest son of the late David and Gertrude (Melito) Thomas. He was the husband of the late Carol Thomas and father of the late David S. Thomas the 3rd.

He is survived by his brothers Richard Thomas and William Thomas as well as the mother of his children Patricia Joyce. He is also survived by his children Dava Thomas, Lawrence Thomas, Mark Meachen and Scott Thomasas well as his grandchildren Ariel, Zachary, Kyle, Isabelle, Patrick, Duran, Matilda, David, Landon, Brenna, Isabella and Olivia as well as many nieces and nephews. He also served in the U.S. National Guard.

David worked for many years for the Armstrong Tire Company in West Haven. David was a generous and giving family member and friend and could always put a smile on everyone's face.

Funeral Service will be held at Keenan Funeral Home Tuesday August 7, 2018 at 10:00am, followed by his Committal Service at Beaverdale Memorial Park Cemetery 90 Pine Rock Ave. New Haven CT 06515.
