Christine Rava

Christine (Tina) A. Rava of North Branford, CT passed away on October 20, 2022. She was born on March 19, 1930, to Michael and Anna (Victoria) Amatulli in New York, NY. Christine moved with her husband to Milford, CT, and settled in North Branford, CT. Christine is survived by her sons Mark, Michael, and Joseph (Mary), her three grandchildren; Michael, Grace, and Annie, and her beloved grand dogs; Kit, Brandy, Bailey, and Kobe. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, and more recently by Mark’s beloved dachshund, and her constant companion, Sparky.

Christine graduated as the Salutatorian of Julia Richmond High School in Manhattan, and had a brief but satisfying career in advertising. She took her creative energy, and devoted it to her family and community. Generous to a fault, she took great pleasure in giving. She was an active member of the North Branford Woman’s Club, and served a term as its President. She did volunteer vision screening in the North Branford schools, visited and donated to the veterans at the Veteran’s Hospital, and regularly made and delivered meals for her friends and neighbors who were ill or had suffered losses. By far her greatest pleasure was cooking for and feeding her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was also known to spoil her grand dogs with forbidden treats making her their favorite. She could regularly be found devouring cookbooks and magazines for new recipes and took great pleasure in sharing her new creations with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Rd., North Branford, CT Saturday October 29, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with Services at 2 p.m.  Burial will be private at a later date.
