Carol Dorothy Lamson

Carol Dorothy Lamson, 88, of Branford, CT

Daughter of the late Samuel and Dorothy Johnson and the wife of the late Julian J. Lamson passed away peacefully October 2, 2021 from complications of COPD.

Carol was employed for many years at Norden Systems, of Norwalk CT as a computer chip board assembler.  She also worked at Gaylord Hospital, Wallingford as a Nurse’s Aide. She worked many other jobs in her life, and enjoyed helping others.  Carol greatest joy has always been raising her five children and spending as much time as possible with her six grandchildren. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas when her family was all gathered together.

Baking apple pies was also one of Carol’s great pleasures in life.  She also enjoyed painting wood figurines her husband Jack would carve.   Carol was very generous with her time and finances supporting the American Cancer Society and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.   The pictures of children she received from the hospital were all over her refrigerator as a reminder for her to say a prayer for them. She had quite a few cats and dogs over the years and loved them all.

Carol is survived by her sister Lorrie Kellegher; her son Paul Salisbury and wife Susan; her daughter Shelly Uscinski and husband Robert; her son Keith Salisbury and wife Lori; and her son Robert Salisbury; and daughter-in-law Ms. Suzanne Salisbury.  She also leaves behind six wonderful grandchildren – Dr. Joseph Uscinski; Mr. Kevin Uscinski; Mrs. Tracy Penninger; Miss Amy Uscinski; Mrs. Kaitlyn Drenzek; Miss Gianni Salisbury, and God-daughter Miss Gina Geremia.

Carol was predeceased by her beloved son Steven K. Salisbury, and granddaughter Carrie Ann Uscinski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday Oct 23, 2021 at 10:00 am at Saint Mary’s Church, 731 Main Street, Branford, CT.  Visitation will be held at Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven, CT on Saturday October 23 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Orchard House, 421 Shore Drive, Branford, CT  06405.  For several years, Carol spent many happy days there, and her care there was extraordinary.
