Austin R. Perry

Austin R. Perry, also known as Bob Perry, age 76, passed away surrounded by his family on May 12, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital.  He leaves behind his beloved wife, Carole Perry.  Bob was born on October 5, 1946 to the late Austin E. and Teasdale Anderson Perry. 

Bob was a self-employed welder for the last 55 years.  Known to many as Iron Man.  He loved to hunt especially deer, and loved gardening.  He was in the Marine Reserves during the Vietnam era for 6 years.  He’ll be sadly missed.

Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his three children; Robert Perry (Melissa) of Bethany, Mathew Perry of West Haven, and Shane Perry (Maureen) of Bethany.  He is also survived by four grandchildren; Dana, Morgan, Nicole, and Pierce. 

Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.

Services will be private under the direction of Keenan Funeral Home.
