Alida G. Erff

Alida G. Erff age 86, of West Haven passed away December 5, 2021 at home surrounded by family.  Alida was the wife of the late Robert W. Erff Sr. She was born May 29, 1935 in West Haven to the late Alida and Eugene Duffy.

Alida was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to raising their own children, Alida and her husband also fostered many children.

Alida enjoyed spending time in Maine.  She was an avid animal lover especially to her cats, dogs and birds.  Alida enjoyed feeding hummingbirds, collecting musical carousel horses and porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Alida will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by her 2 sons, Eugene of West Haven and Christopher and his wife Angie of Georgia. Her 3 daughters, Corrinda Soares and her husband Michael of West Haven, Alida Brown and her husband Tom of Woodbrige, and Sandra Wallace and her husband Cordell of Cheshire. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, Alida is predeceased by her brother Eugene and  2 sons Robert Jr and John.

Funeral Services will be private.
