Alberta G. Florenzano

Alberta Graham Florenzano, age 89, of West Haven passed away peacefully in her home on February 26, 2020. Alberta was predeceased by her beloved husband Alphonse Florenzano to whom she had been married to for 67 years. She was born in Washington D.C on September 20, 1931. She grew up and attended school in Maryland before moving to Connecticut. She was employed for over 20 years at the Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp. in New Haven, CT. Later she worked for 15 years at Yale University as a secretary in the office of the President until her retirement in 1996.  She loved Western movies and her favorite actor was John Wayne. She will be sadly missed. In addition to her late husband she was also predeceased by her three children, Lawrence Florenzano, Alicia Sperry-Cox and William Florenzano. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven. A graveside service will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery Mausoleum, 280 Derby Ave, West Haven on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.
