Albert J. Laoue, Age 92, of West Haven since 1985 passed away on December 28, 2018 at St. Raphael’s Hospital in New Haven, CT. He was born in New Haven on April 12, 1926 to the late Albert A. and Lena Degnon Laoue. He was a Navy Veteran during WWII serving on the George W. Ingram (DE-62) and the U.S.S. Leary (DD-879) and belonged to the American Legion Post 200. Albert was a recipient of the American Theatre and European Theatre Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre WWII Victory Medal and Navy Occupational Medal with Asia Clasp. He was employed by the New Haven and Pennsylvania Central Railroad in the mail and baggage department and later for the Risley Leete Company of West Haven. He retired in 1988. Albert is survived by one brother, Mark (Virginia) Laoue of West Haven and Sister-In-Law Marie Laoue of New Haven. He is predeceased by three sisters, Kathleen Longyear, Bernadette Maturo, Therese Carlson and one brother, John Laoue all of West Haven. Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven, CT on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11 a.m at St. John Vianney Church, 300 Captain Thomas Blvd., West Haven. Interment to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
