Adele P. Nero 93, of Branford CT entered eternal rest on Monday October 1, 2018 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Adele was the loving wife of 71 years to her husband, Saverio F. Nero, better known as “Sal” of Branford, where they shared their golden years in retirement. Adele was born August 31, 1925 in New Haven to her late parents Dominic and Licia “Alice” (Petrillo) Piscatelle.
She grew up in Guilford, CT with her family and friends. After meeting Sal, they moved to North Branford where they raised their family together. Adele welcomed her sons’ friends into her home as if they were her own children. She had a heart large enough to welcome in all North Branford and she brought joy to every person that was lucky enough to grace her presence.
Besides Sal, she leaves behind three of her five sons; Mark L. Nero (Melanie) of Wallingford CT, Joseph M. Nero (Kristin) of North Branford CT and Larry S. Nero (Donna) of Northford CT. She was predeceased by her two sons; Lawrence Nero and Raymond J. Nero. Adele will also be missed by her nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her brother Raymond Piscatelle (Grace) of Guilford CT and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Charles Piscatelle of North Haven, Vincent Piscatelle of Maine and Joseph Piscatelle of California.
The family will be accepting guests to pay their respects on Friday October 5, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Keenan Funeral Home 330 Notch Hill Rd. North Branford, CT, 06471. Funeral services will begin Saturday October 6, 2018 at 9:00 am at Keenan Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church 30 Caputo Rd. North Branford, CT 06471 at 10:00am. Committal service immediately following in the family plot at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven CT.
