In loving memory of Steven Tate Marchitto, who passed away in New Haven, CT, on Sunday, March 17th, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on November 22nd, 1973, he lived in his beloved town of West Haven, CT, Steven's journey was marked by dedication, passion, and love.
Throughout his life, Steven found fulfillment in his work as a skilled floor installer and carpenter, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and commitment. His hands brought beauty and functionality to countless spaces, a testament to his talent and hard work.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Steven's heart belonged to the world of sports, with hockey and baseball holding special places in his soul. Cheering on his favorite teams, he found joy in the world of athletics.
Steven leaves behind a cherished legacy of love and companionship. He is survived by his devoted long-time partner, JoAnn Macksey, who stood by his side through life's joys and challenges. He is also survived by his loving mother, Madeline Cavo, his father, Larry Marchitto, his dear sister, Jody Persson and her husband Dan Persson, and a host of nieces and nephews who held special places in his heart: Danny, Logan, Sean, Danielle, Kaylee, Lucy, Isabelle, and Grace.
In the hearts of those who knew him, Steven's memory will forever remain a beacon of warmth, kindness, and laughter. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though Steven may have left this world, his spirit lives on in the countless memories shared and the love that continues to surround us. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of fond remembrance.
Visitation will be held at Keenan Funeral Home in West Haven, Sunday, March 24th, from 12PM – 2PM. All who knew and loved Steven are welcomed to join in celebrating his life.
