Rosemary (Bonnie) Kirck, age 61, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital.  She was born in New Haven on March 9, 1956 to the late Rosemary Atzback Kirck and John R. Kirck and was raised in West Haven.  Bonnie is survived by her sister, Linda Fiore and brother-in-law Michael Fiore of North Haven, Connecticut and sister, Laura Bracke and brother-in-law  Steven Bracke of Lutz, Florida.  Her beloved nieces and nephews include Colleen O’Connor of West Haven; Corinne McDonald of West Haven, John (Jack) O’Connor of Tenafly, New Jersey; Thomas O’Connor of West Haven; Jason Bracke of Odessa, Florida and Jennifer Bracke of Lutz, Florida. 

The next generation includes Robert James of New Haven; Jessica McDonald of Derby; Joseph McDonald, III of East Haven; Tim Arcadipani of West Haven; Abbi O’Connor of Cumberland, RI; Ray O’Connor of West Haven and twins Gwyn and Johnny O’Connor of Tenafly, NJ. 

Last but not least little Robert Barry James, III of New Haven.

She is also survived by her best friend of 50 years, Barbara Brown of West Haven and her little grey cat, Johnny.

She graduated from West Haven High School in 1974 and worked many years for Yale New Haven University and most recently for Talmadge Park Nursing Home as an administrative assistant in East Haven.  Bonnie also worked for many years for her sister, Linda, at Tiny Threads Boutique in North Haven as a valuable assistant where she could be found displaying the merchandise, waiting on customers, checking inventory and sometimes babysitting and chasing after the tiny customers that frequented the store.   

Bonnie loved to travel, especially to New York to see Broadway plays and the Yankees.  On any given occasion, she might be found prowling stores, searching for that perfect gift for her assorted family members. 

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven,  CT Monday, February 5, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A mass will follow after at St. Lawrence Church in West Haven at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Greater New Haven Cat Project.
