Robert (Bob) C. Nailor, 68, of North Haven and Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on  February 5, 2017  at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT. 

He was the husband of Emma Zotti Nailor who survives him. 

Bob was born on March 30, 1948 in New Haven, CT.  He was the son of the late Robert T. Nailor and the late Helen Arsenault.

Bob grew up in West Haven, where he met the love of his life Emma.  He served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. 1st Anglico (Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Companies) during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970.  He was a Forward Observer responsible for calling in Air Naval Gunfire.

Upon his return to the States, Bob and Emma married and began their lives together living in West Haven, New Haven and North Haven.  He was the owner of Wallingford Floor Covering and RC Nailor Floor and Tile from 1977 to his retirement in 2003. 

He is survived by his three children, Kristen Morris (Steven Bradley) of North Haven, Robert D. Nailor (Jennifer) of Meriden and Tara Farquhar (Michael) of Northford.   He is also survived by his sisters Sharon Dezenzo (Albert) and Peggy Hoezel (Richard) both of Cape Coral, Florida, brother Jack Nailor (Lori) of West Haven, in-laws David P. and Louise Zotti of Cape Coral, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.  Bob is predeceased by brothers Thomas and Richard Nailor.

Bob enjoyed camping, boating and fishing with his family and traveling with Emma to Cape Cod and Cape Coral, Florida where they made their retirement home.  He also had a passion for classic cars, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren, Dominic, Dylan, Colin, Caleb and Camille.

The family would like to thank the compassionate healthcare professionals at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System for the care they provided to Bob during this long battle.

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St. West Haven February 10 from 4 to 7pm with services at 7pm concluding with full military honors.
